She is the founder of the longstanding annual conference, The Atlanta Pitch Summit, a respected annual conference and networking marketplace where content meets distribution, allowing content creators to pitch their ideas to key executives and get their projects greenlit by TV and film companies such as Lifetime, BET, MGM, TV One, FOX, Harpo Films, and Nickelodeon. Ty is not just a producer but a guiding light, an advocate for change, and a master of her craft.

Ty has worked closely with film veterans such as award-winning movie producer Tressa “Azarel” Smallwood, Tracey Edmonds, Robert Townsend, veteran executive Mark Koops and Mona Scott-Young. Ty also has worked as a professor with American Intercontinental University and The Art Institutes, teaching courses on digital film, video, and audio production.
Now with the author title added to her portfolio, the release of her book debut, “To Pitch or Not to Pitch” reached Amazon’s top 100 best selling. This highly informative guide is designed to help content creators, writers, producers and those in the film and TV industries learn how to pitch, package, and sell their script or project to a TV network, linear channel, studio, production company, agent or web streamer. Ty’s sophomore book, released November of 2023, “Give Me The Greenlight” is not just a book; it’s a mentor and companion, guiding creatives through the highs and lows of the independent filmmaking journey.

After two decades of producing and adding more to her portfolio, Ty recently made her directorial debut with the trending TUBI thriller feature, A Taste of Betrayal, released fall 2023.

Ty is a member of the Producers Guild of America, a graduate of the UCLA Professional Producing Program, and soon receiving her MFA in digital filmmaking from Anaheim University. Ty is married and a proud mother of four. She and her husband own and operate several highly acclaimed restaurant locations in Atlanta, Georgia.
